Is this an AI detector?+
No, and that's the whole point. AI detectors analyze the text for suspicious patterns and produce documented false positives. This tool does an exact check instead: either the text matches a certificate issued during a ValidDraft writing session, or it doesn't. It will never claim to know whether text that didn't match was produced by AI.
What does a match prove?+
A positive result proves the exact text (regardless of formatting) was produced during a ValidDraft writing session and points to a corresponding certificate with its verified-human status, author, and date. That certificate page is the official record.
What does 'no match' mean?+
It means the text wasn't produced during a ValidDraft writing session, or the matching certificate is private. It doesn't mean the text is AI-generated. Even changing just one word after getting the certificate will cause the lookup to come back negative.
